The Creation of the Miracle League in Minnesota

Access Press, a Minnesota newspaper for people with disabilities, published an article on June 9 about Harmon Killebrew and the Miracle League. The article talks about a man named Kevin Thoreson seeing a TV report on the Miracle League, a baseball league for kids with disabilities in Georgia. He then teamed up with Jeff Hansen from the Minnesota Twins and Killebrew in 2006 to build a Miracle League field in Blaine, Minnesota, the first such field in the state.

Since the Blaine field, seven Miracle League fields have been built throughout Minnesota. To read the article, click here. It is a great tribute to Killebrew and the Miracle League!
