Gardy (finally) wins Manager of The Year!

Today, after five previous 2nd place finishes, Minnesota Twins manager Ron Gardenhire was finally named American League Manager of the Year!! The Twins have won six division titles in the nine seasons that “Gardy” has managed. He had been considered one of the best managers who had not won the award. Ron Washington of the Texas Rangers finished 2nd.

Gardenhire deserved to win the award because of the Twins’ success under his leadership. I have met him (see August 20 post) and he is a great guy with a good sense of humor. Well done, Gardy!! Click here for the full article!
